Source: Ukrainian Fashion WeekMany fashion blogs out there don't usually report on Ukraine's Fashion Week and the same goes for me, it's always passed me by - but not this year. I wasn't mightily impressed by what I saw until I found the brand LUVI and their spring collection. The models that came down the runway were dressed in fierce black and white creations and the looks above really stole the show. The outfits included tailored jackets, symbolic crosses, interestingly cut leather jackets, tights in a shimmery fabric and a lot of black transparent material.
The only thing I wasn't fond of was that the models walked barefooted on a catwalk with some stones scattered on it. I can see why they had no shoes, the designer might have wanted them to be more "down to earth", maybe she had a vision of free spirits. But I looked at a video from LUVI's fall collection -11 and the models were once again walking with nothing on their feet, and they stepped on what looked like a string of salt over the runway. I think these looks would have been even more impressive with some McQueen inspired heels.
My face was actually the first thing I saw when I clicked on the tab "Video" on FashionWeek's website.
